He was shot because he was reaching for a handgun with the other hand. I've seen another version of this video (might have been in DR) which detailed why the police officer behind him opened fire.

They often produce training videos in as realistic situations as possible.

Finding a random corner somewhere is not difficult. Hollywood does this every day.

well ive lived in, and just outside, major cities all my life and never have i seen a police training exercise of any kind, including realistic gunplay scenarios....anyway just as you guys seem to have no proof that it is fake, i cannot provide proof that it is real. i stand by my opinion that it is.

he had a pistol, in his right hand, behind his back...look closely as he goes down. thats why the cop behind him shouts "gun!" a moment before shots are fired

saw this on YT 5 to 6 years ago and think it has been posted here already but yea it's a trainings video about how cops have to make life or death decisions in a split second.

the approaching officer was warned by the cop behind the "suspect" he was pulling a gun from his waistband so he fired at the suspect.

The approaching cop was way too calm in a situation like this plus there's no recoil/muzzle flash, shell casings, blood and he puts the gun back in his holster way too fast. Also in a real situation i think the cop would have emptied his entire clip to be sure the fucker is dead.

....ok. the "actor" hit the ground kinda hard for play fighting though. i don't think i'd want to risk splitting my skull on concrete for a job training exercise.
