i completely agree with all of you on how we should be able to decide on whether we want to die or not but for good reasons not just for attention and other shit like that

Re: Peter Smedley Assisted Suicide

The wife seems strangely composed and unemotional to me, I think I would be the total opposite.

I've actually thought about this quite often, no way do I want to end up like some of the people I've known or seen on here.

An easy, clean, dignified exit for me when the getting is good!

Re: Peter Smedley Assisted Suicide

I would only agree with committing suicide if you are in constant unbearable pain with a few other things etc.

And yea 2 many people commit suicide for stupid ass reasons.

He could of stuck around for a while longer, then again i do not know how much pain he was in etc.

Re: Peter Smedley Assisted Suicide

i believe that if you want to go you should seek treatment and if you still want to die...go for it its better to have a planed out event were you say goodbye to your loved ones and have them know your happy but you just want to leave this all behind, than to have it build up inside and then shoot yourself in the head and not tell anyone who love or care about know why you did it and its overall a better way to go out,

Re: Peter Smedley Assisted Suicide

perhaps a few years down the line or whatever he could have gotten better medication at the least to make his illness subside, or even perhaps cured. This is why this makes no sense. Why take life away when there is the potential hope. Dumbass if you ask me.

Re: Peter Smedley Assisted Suicide

Strange how the wife was hesitant in sitting next to him.. and it's the doctor and not his wife cradling his head. They don't seem to be in love at all. That's what I find the saddest.
