Crap, I know that my ceiling fan would have definitely fallen off the ceiling, striking me in the head, cutting me with the glass light globes, and luckily avoiding electrocution, I would probably then have fallen from the bed on to the floor & striking my head, thus killing myself.

Suicide is not necessarily a bad decision. It was her life to do with what she wanted and she wanted to end it, all good.

Yeah, blah blah bloo. You make this same tired, redundant, boring argument on almost every single suicide thread on DR. And sure, in some cases you may be right. Sometimes people are well and truly better off dead. But I have spoken with a SIGNIFICANT amount of suicide survivors, most of whom are quite thankful for the lives they have now and many of whom have chosen to use their experiences to try to counsel others against making terminally irreversible decisions based on specific circumstances or chemical imbalances that can be treated the same as any other illness or injury. You ridiculous 'suicide advocates' (there are about half a dozen very vocal ones on this site) are such overbroad thinkers that I almost assume at this point that you are nothing but simple-minded trolls, repeating the same tiresome horseshit again and again just to garner a reaction. NOT EVERY SUICIDE ATTEMPT ACTUALLY WANTS TO END THEIR LIFE FOREVER. Many are so overwhelmed by their circumstances or their illness that they do not see a way out, even though one exists. |

Argument? No it's comment. Buy a dictionary. Sure you have spoken to many suicide survivors. You must hang with some cool people. Anyone who survives a suicide attempt didn't really want to die. It's not that hard to be certain. You just don't get that it's someone's choice; you nanny-state thinkers just can't believe that it should be a choice. |

Re: Pakistani Girl Hangs Herself from a Ceiling Fan Live Streamed on Bigo Live
The fuck does it have to do with 'nanny state' anything? I didn't say shit about government involvement. Not a single damned thing. All I said was that people who are ALTERED, whether chemically or due to depression or for whatever reason, do not always make responsible choices. So stop venerating them as some sort of saints for 'having the courage to make such a hard choice.' I assure you, when I have knocked back a fifth of whiskey and I decide to get into my fucking car and drive down the road, I REALLY DO WANT TO DRIVE THAT CAR. Of course, if my intoxicated ass runs down and kills a family of four because my choice was irresponsible, the 'nanny state' is going to lock my ass up. But it doesn't mean that I didn't actually want to drive or that I don't regret my foolish decisions made when in an unclear state. Likewise, sometimes humans who choose to try to kill themselves because they are OVERWHELMED by a chemical imbalance, whether internal or external (I have processed autopsy reports for several hundred suicides and the number whose tox screens returned booze or pills is significant) or crippled by depression REALLY WANT TO DIE. But they fail to complete the act or are discovered and revived by a third party. And they continue their lives glad for the chance to do so. Whatever fucking 'point' you're trying to make by repeating your 'comment' over and over on almost EVERY SINGLE SUICIDE THREAD ON THIS SITE is totally lost by your apparent unwillingness to cede to a potential alternative. Instead you rant about nanny states and the power of choice and hand-wave any cases who refute your bullshit by saying that they 'never really wanted to die' in the first place. You are tiresome, as is the repetitiveness of your 'comment.' I am not one of those who stands up in every thread and claims that suicide is 'a cowardly act' or 'a selfish act'. Sometimes it may be, often times it may not be. But likewise, it is not always 'the right choice' just because it is the choice that was made. People make mistakes, you know? They make WRONG choices and POOR decisions every day. Where in the fuck do you find the hubris to continually claim that suicide is ALWAYS the right choice and 'good for them' for making it. Again, you bring up this same 'comment' so often that you are either a troll or have a weird-as-fuck obsession with this topic. |
