The language they are speaking is Tagalog. Lolo in the Filipino language means elder men - Grand papa. The filipino are rather passionate as a People and the culture has strong roots embued with metaphor and emotion for loved ones. There is a tremendous magical atmosphere in the Philippines not so easily read on paper. You have to be there to feel it. As an atheist, I still respect the heavy rich culture and wish more people found interest in the subtleties of culture and Religion. More knowledge can be addicting.
