Old Polish Woman is Run Over by Garbage Truck
In Radom, east-central Poland, on July 3rd, an elderly woman (sources differ on her age, either 84 or 87) was walking on the street when she was run over by a reversing garbage truck. She was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, and died a few hours later. The 47-year-old driver of the truck was found to be sober.

She wouldn’t have heard the truck reverse, alarm or not, if she’s hard of hearing… Besides, even if she had seen the truck coming towards her, as fast as he was going, she just wouldn’t have been able to move fast enough to get out of the way in time. Poor lady. That was a painful experience, I’m sure.  |

So the lady walking past her can't detect any reason to warn her?? Most US trash haulers employee undocumented workers as monbacks... he's the guy who stands behind the backing truck and waves to the driver while exclaiming, "C'MON BACK, MON-BACK, MON-BACK..." |
