I'm not anti cop by any stretch. But that's a terrible shoot. He should be fired immediately and brought up on charges. Make an example of his ass, you are not a God or even a king. You don't get to shoot or kill someone just because they don't follow your orders. And you shouldn't be allowed to create the situation where you're in danger if its easily avoidable. From this short clip, obviously don't have all the information. But it appears nobody is in imminent danger. So why didn't the cop wait for backup? Use a taser or a less lethal weapon? Or perhaps try and calm the suspect down, stand back and just talk. If the guy charges you, then shoot him. But it looks like the cop is the one moving forward. It looks like the cop wanted to shoot him, so he made it happen. |

Not too mention, that guy had nothing behind that swing, looked like a little kid holding a bat way too big for him. Could barely hold it and swing without dropping it. With that swing I would let him hit me. Not like it's going to hurt.  |

It looked to me like the dumbass is the cop. "Oh look, a extremely drunk guy with a stick, I need to run up to him with my gun pointed at his face". Because that's how cops in America are supposed to act.  |
