Re: Officer Involved Fatal Shooting of 56-year Old Bennie Tignor

This is bullshit. 6 or 7 rounds into the guy.... thats not what they are trained to do, and for all you idiots that are going to jump on the bandwagon of good ole police...US military in combat zone fight with rules of engagement and adhere to those rules effectively. why would you applaud police from NOT adhering to the training and rules of confronting an armed suspect. You will applaud this reckless behavior until someone you know is "accidentally shot" by these boneheads that react with thier guns out of fear and cant keep a level head to do their job properly. yes it can be a dangerous job... but that was their choice to be a policeman, no one forces them. DO THE JOB PROFESSIONALLY OR GET OUT OF IT
Are you absolutely sure you watched this video ? Nothing personal but you must have been drunk too. He followed all proper protocol and should have emptied his clip into the asshole ; stopping the threat doesn't have a trigger limit .

what the fuck do you know about cop training? please explain what should be done with an armed suspect and how he did not adhere to his training or rules, you are obviously a cop yourself or have done extensive research on their training and this specific agency's policies and procedures, hopefully it will be as brilliant as your last explanation, and i highly doubt you know someone who was accidentally shot by a cop

Re: Officer Involved Fatal Shooting of 56-year Old Bennie Tignor

I spoke with some local police recently about the recent rash that we see in the news and inquired if that is how they are trained...he stated that the way it goes is pull 2 then assess the perp. after 2 if they are down you can try to grasp the situation...if you unload a clip and find it was a cell phone..... well your fucked..
this happened last year in charlotte 3 cops responded to a call of someone banging on a door.... well they show up the guy is staggering towards them.... 1 cop unloads a clip and some in the guy.... guess what he had been in a car accident was looking for help... cop OVERREACTED and killed him..... that is why they need to adhere to training and quit emptying clips out of fear.... thats not exercising any discipline....bad cop
Im not talking about the "clear and present danger" this is the problem.. they are not making a distinction between clear and present at all... they are treating all encounters the same... that is why there are so many bad kills happening.....

Re: Officer Involved Fatal Shooting of 56-year Old Bennie Tignor

Just bad all around...

The officer did his job so I don't fault him.

Unfortunately the driver was most likely Blacked Out and was just startled by the cop interrupting his mission to get into bed. (Notice how he didn't know what was going on) I seriously doubt the driver would harm the cops when sober and obviously wasn't working with a clear mind. Still, being under the influence isn't an excuse so I guess it just wasn't his day
he knew enough to pull a gun... and that was all he needed..

moral of the story... If you are a druggie or alcoholic don't drive and don't carry a gun. Stupid and armed is a death sentence.
