Re: Naked Man Shot and Killed by Police (Berlin)
The police and the whole country stands behind the officer. I'm pretty sure he won't be arrest... we got a video proof right here that shows what happened. That should go well for him |

Re: Naked Man Shot and Killed by Police (Berlin)
the officer wasnt charged. i dont know where the rumor comes from. the whole case is will be checked on and then an internal group will decide wether or not it was correct to use his weapon like this. and im sure hell not be charged for anything. when a mentally sick nacked person comes at u with a knives and tell u ! i am the messias and going to kill u" i think ure allowed to use ur gun. even here in germany. cop did the right thing. sorry for the naked man tho. if the doctors in the mental hospital set him on better meds or just cared better for him hed still be alive. what i find interesting tho is the whole shot thing. he gets shot and still stands for a few seconds and then goes down. and when the cops come he fights em with his legs and stuff. and yet he obviously was deadly wounded. interesting.... |

Re: Naked Man Shot and Killed by Police (Berlin)
Reading the back story the man appeared to be injured from cutting himself. I think the officer was trying to help him. When that didn't work he had nowhere else to go. Personally, I'd stay back until he had at least dropped the knife or something, but I'm not trained in these things. |

Re: Naked Man Shot and Killed by Police (Berlin)
What is the shooting officer saying in the last part of the vid, giving his weapon to some other officer? I just heard out " Kannst du mal meine Waffe...." Cannot understand the rest of the sentence he says while giving away his weapon. Any German here? |

Re: Naked Man Shot and Killed by Police (Berlin)
First of all, the ORDINARY cops were there to PROTECT all the civilians in the area and tried desperately to HELP him: and this happened in a sensitive area, since the city hall is in the immediate closeness, and red alerts were issued to all UE countries law enforcements after the London incident (you know, the one in which a soldier was beheaded): to surround him was the first step, to try to convince him to calm down and drop the knife was the second; the three patrols of police which intervened made both these steps, then one of them approached the man as he was bleeding from several self-inflicted stabs, to try to convince him to stop with no need to scream to communicate with him (and THAT fountain is noisy, i've been there dozens of times). Another detail that is being totally overlooked is that according to german laws, self-defence right applies also to police officers. And, as explained by this dude, who is definitely in the know the use of force is governed by a statute which paragraphs from 8 to 16 say that "A police officer may open fire to a person to prevent a crime or to prevent the use of firearms or explosive equipment by the person", so, according to both german constitution and german laws, the cop acted properly, END of story. Those who are asking why "he didn't shot him in the leg" have NO CLUE what is being shown in the video, nor what means to make a decision in MILLISECONDS. All they'd be able to do under the same circumstances, is to shit their pants. And most likely get stabbed to death. Feirefiz, that video, titled "Polizei gegen Nazis" shows special units (that's not ordinary Polizei, see the uniforms?) who were there to deal with a bunch of communists protesting against a bunch of neoneazis: they were, trained and equipped to face the situation, they had all the time to prepare their countermeasures; and by the way they were there to protect those nazis: at some point one of those naziarses ordered to the others to grab the baseball bats, and as one of them became slighltly dangerous was put to rest. I guess you are refferring to this cop when you talk about how "a german police officer is allowed to point his gun at another person". Wrong. That's his personal decision, and there's no mention of it in any manual in use to them but feel free to prove me wrong. Now i have a question for you: in your opinion, what would have done the officer handling THIS gun if some of those nazis would have tried to crush the head of one of his colleaguaes with one of those baseball bats? Where is he aiming at, at some knee? |
