No, I'm not saying I'm tough, just that those atrocities we see on those videos, also happened in my family towns, not in a far away country. Few years ago we just inearthed the bones of one of my relatives (a school teacher 23 y/o) who was brutally murdered by their own neighbors.

With all of this I mean that I agree with you that we, in rich countries with everything on our hand, obviously won't risk our lifestyle, just because we do not need to. But when there is hunger, poverty, and violence, people tend to stand by themselves. We saw it in Europe against fascism or communism, but we also see it today in Latin America, where protests leave dozens of people murdered by police (Venezuela for example), we saw it in China, in Thailand, or pacific protests like the ones today in Belarus. It angers me that this doesn't happen in Africa, arguably the continent with the most corrupt politicians in this planet. Maybe their people lack of intellectual opposition leaders who could organize and put the masses on the move. Ignorance is a powerful tool for tyrants.

Ahh I gotcha, yeah it is pretty fucked up. I feel like people in any of these countries could rise up, but it takes someone/a group to be the first, and if they fail, well, hatchet to the head. I cant imagine what that must feel like. Really puts life in perspective, I sit here complaining about such mundane shit like its hot or my job is annoying when people all over the world live with fear they will be killed in a horrific manner at anytime. Fuck humans so much, hope aliens come and put us in our place.
