Motorcycle Racer Dies
Hope this works. Haven't posted in a while. A Spanish motorcycle rider died Sunday after being struck by another rider during the European Talent Cup race at MotorLand Aragon Circuit. The rider crashed with a high-side, and while trying to move from the middle of the track, was hit head on by another rider. |

RIP Hugo Millán, he was only 14 years old. |

Re: Motorcycle Racer Dies
RIP Hugo. Every time I crashed on the track (there were a few) my main fear was not being on the racing line because of situations like this. Luckily (lemonade out of lemons) all my crashes took me off the tarmac. |

Re: Motorcycle Racer Dies
He survived initial impact. They need more warning for upcoming riders when an accident like this occurs. I know there's only seconds of time to warn them..but the flags aren't enough

Re: Motorcycle Racer Dies
I'm a track marshal & work MotoGP in Austin. As sad as this is, there's nothing else to be done. All of the riders accept the dangers that come with racing.

Re: Motorcycle Racer Dies
Needs lights on the sides of the track that instantly start strobing blue and red ... That'll slow them down |

Re: Motorcycle Racer Dies
What organization did you race in? I raced in the CMRA back in the early 90s for a few years. Had a highside and a few lowsides, and luckily slid off the track into the runoff (grass) lol.
