Re: Motorcycle Crashes Head On Into A Building @ 130kph
Stroud is just down the road from me. About 10 miles. It's full of old people and backwards yokels. Yeah, I know. Cool story huh. In keeping with the story though, the TT riders understand the risks involved. It's one of the few motorsports left out there where deaths are actually expected each year. Of course they try to make it as safe as they can, but there's only so safe you can make a street course round an island, especially when the riders average speeds of around 150mph. Imo it's a thoroughbred racing event and it holds a certain tradition: To rag the shit out of a bunch of the highest tuned superbikes around the Isle of Man as fast as you fucking dare. And with that tradition comes danger. Take the cheese rolling in Gloucester each year for example (if you don't know what this is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooper%...lling_and_Wake https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...cheese+rolling ) It wouldn't be any fun if they made them all chase that cheese down a pissy little slope on their hands and knees and all arrived at the bottom with a handshake and a pat on the back. The only reason the cheese rolling is any fun is because it's run down a ridiculously steep slope by people with half a brain that will probably reach the bottom in a blur of limbs and teeth, and the winner will be cheered by the crowd and given temporary hero status for the disregard of his own personal safety purely for the entertainment. In short, without trying to sound disrespectful to the deceased's friends or family - Shit happens. |

You got that completely wrong, i am not wishing death for them, i wish them to practice their sport with decent safety rules, Isle of Man has none, they pray upon young and stupid people who think nothing can harm them. Nothing is more important than your life |

Re: Motorcycle Crashes Head On Into A Building @ 130kph
We are all killing ourselves bud. Some do it slowly with bad food and drugs, and others really fucking fast with highly tuned motorbikes and extreme sports. At least he died doing what he loved. How many people ever get to do that? |

Re: Motorcycle Crashes Head On Into A Building @ 130kph
Why does someone deserve to die because they are doing something they love? They are enjoying a hobby. Death comes when it wants, even if you are some cab driver just trying to make an honest living and some dumb ass shoots you in the back of the head for a few dollars. Maybe you hate motorcycles anyway? Who knows. But this man didn't "deserve" anything for enjoying his hobby. Maybe one day someone will post a video of you dying, and some dipshit will say you deserved it. |
