Re: More Gays Thrown Off Buildings
Again Christianity is unlike all religions. It has a messaged based on love and forgiveness. There are many, many other reasons to believe Jesus is who He said He was and I would love to have a long conversation about why I believe Jesus is truly God but there is too much to say on this little tablet. If you would like to know my reasons I would love to share. I dont ask you for anything and neither does Christianity. Some churches will as some pastors/ priests will too. Though they ask you Christianity demands very little of you. The only thing it asks is for your love. Thst is all. |

Re: More Gays Thrown Off Buildings
Absolutely no offense to you at all... but I am beyond any long conversations about religion. Reading your two short paragraphs filled me with the intense need to go shower and meditate to cleanse my mind. (apologies, i'm being honest). I am not sure that you or most devoted christians, or devotees of any other religion for that matter, have the capacity to think like I do nor do they have the ability to know what I know, innately based on MY experiences. I have felt this way as far back as I can remember. Life is completely different when you pay very close attention to your instincts about EVERYTHING. In my twenties I thought perhaps religion was what I was missing in my life... so I became a christian for about two years. I did not belong. At all. I have since found spirituality within myself as well as infinitely all around me. May not make sense to you, and that's ok. My "god" is earth and my "jesus" is mother nature. They are in control of the here and now. There are two sides to absolutely EVERYTHING. True and false. Reality and not. I have chosen realism over idealism. We will have to agree to disagree but I thank you for your comment. |

Re: More Gays Thrown Off Buildings
Your feelings can be swayed or perverted by any number of reasons. Your instincts could be totally wrong, as many are. You wishing to cleanse yourself because I explained that following Jesus was about love, both being loved and loving other, really makes little sense to me. Unless you understanding of love is perverted. I cant help your feelings or your experiences just like you cant know mine. I offered you respect, concern, and caring and that made you feel soiled. I feel bad for you that whatever happened to you you allowed to move in such a distorted path. God and Jesus are two Individuals, two persons (and Jesus' life if very well documented both in the Bible but alone in many non-religious writtings as well). I am both schooled in Theology and in Philosophy so I probably see things differently then you do too. Accepting things or defining them base upon your experiences is not how knowledge is gained as your life could be distorted or askew. You may, for example be free of pain. You may never have had an injury that caused great pain for you. Not knowing pain you might then faultily believe all with chronic pain are faking and slackers. You might taste cilantro and it tastes very bitter to you. You might then believe no one could like that vile weed (some people, including myself find cilantro very bitter, tasting like bitter medication while others love its flavor). Your conclusions are faulty based on differences in your chemical makeup. Some things are true and some are false. There are clear lines at times. Sometimes there are variations based upon ones reaction to a stimulation. I seek truth and what I offered was a discussion for truth not opinion (at least not wholy based on opinion). If you dont wish further interaction then I bid you well and will pray for you tonight. I wish no harm on you now or ever. Good luck to you (if I dont hear back from you)! By the way, I only offered to talk via message as it would take up less space on this post and there might be less cross conversation. Once more good luck to you! |

Re: More Gays Thrown Off Buildings
Please forgive both my grammer and my spelling. I am up late, and slept very little the night before, and I did not proof read. I also hope I didnt sound like i was attacking you or your beliefs. I just wished to offer you a differing perspective.

Re: More Gays Thrown Off Buildings
Thats only in Shia islam and is frowned upon by the rest (majority-Sunni) of the muslim world. See Iran parts of iraq Afghanistan Syria and Lebanon. Its a common insult to shias by sunnis. Here is an interesting fact: Shias also practice something called Taqqiya in which they are allowed to lie or deceive for gains or to protect their faith. No religion permits lying like this not least of which islam. They also practice other things extremely forbidden in islam such as self harm.
