That depends on your experience and how long you've lived: ie, your frame of mind.

Personally, I feel that I've lived long enough, seen all there has to be seen. I'd have no issue rushing this dude with the understanding that I might be rushing to my own death. I would grab for anything I could use: either a weapon to hit vitals or a baffle (such as a cup of liquid or a blanket) to throw into his face in order to distract him long enough to disarm him.

ANYTHING except just standing there.
