Mexican Agent Shot Dead Trying to Intervene Armed Robbery
March 23, 2016, Mexico, an AEI agent (State Investigation Agency) tried to prevent an assault on a pharmacy. The agent followed a pair of armed individuals into a pharmacy where he saw them threaten the employee with firearms to extort money from him. The agent stormed the pharmacy but one of the robbers quickly incapacitated him with a shot to the abdomen. After the fall to the ground, the agent was fatally shot in the head. The child who played in the midst of the shootout was not harmed. Thanks to deanmine for the find.  |

I'll assume this was a rookie. There was no imminent threat of death to any innocents here. Even a "shoot first & ask questions later" approach wasn't thought out. I'm not 2d guessing the guy, I'm critiquing him.  |
