At dawn of 2nd July 2020 in Beco Greco (Brazil), 32 year old A.A.J.D.S. was arrested after digging up his grandmother's corpse. The body was taken from the São Francisco cemetery + when police caught up with the man, he was found around 1km away, tied to a lampost with the corpse of his grandmother, M.J.D.S., near him. Locals tied him up after witnessing him carrying the corpse on his shoulders + then dancing with it. The man's family state that he has psychiatric problems. Apparently, he missed his grandmother so much that he wanted to donate his body to her to bring her back to life. The police were told that it was not the first time that the man had tried to steal his grandmother's body. He had also stated that he want to dig up other family members. The body of the man's grandmother, who died in 2018, was returned to her grave.
