Re: Men Falling From Jets in Kabul Trying To Flee Taliban
I’d not want to be the one to decide when to pull US troops out of Afghanistan. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. There is no decision everyone will agree with. None. The only thing almost everyone can probably agree with is that Afghanistan is a shitty place to live. It doesn’t matter which US president is “X” and which is “Y”: If “X” ordered the immediate withdrawal of all US troops due to the Taliban taking control: “X” supporters: We’ve spent enough time and money trying to help Afghanistan and we’re tired of Americans dying! President “X” has the balls to do what all the other presidents should have done. “Y” supporters: “X” is making huge mistake. He is not considering the harm that could come to the US if the Taliban takes complete control of Afghanistan. We need a strong presence in Afghanistan to reduce terrorism! |

Re: Men Falling From Jets in Kabul Trying To Flee Taliban
I'm betting he (she?) was dead long before that portion of the video was shot. I can only speculate, but it looks like it was shot from the right aft door so I'm guessing that body is caught in the main gear doors or one of the strut upper doors. So pretty sure their clothing, amazingly, is holding everything more or less together as it flails in a few hundred knots worth of wind. Almost certain everyone in the bird can hear it banging around out there as well.
