A 25-year-old man was stabbed and bludgeoned to death by four members of a widow's family - including her parents - over alleged harassment, in Mancherial district, Telangana state, India, on Tuesday. He was identified as M.M., a milk vendor.

Sources said that M. allegedly used to harass a 22-year-old woman, enraging her relatives. The woman's relatives apprehended M. while he was returning from a local petrol station on his bike.

The irate family members allegedly stabbed him multiple times before smashing his head with boulders in public view. Nobody attempted to stop them.

According to the family, the woman had allegedly befriended M. in the past, but as part of an arranged marriage was wed to another youth, who killed himself six months ago. Supposedly, M. subjected the woman to mental anguish by circulating some photos of her on social media with obscene messages.
