From the 2nd angle it looks like the green vest agent screwed up and fired the first shot. Overall looks like a communication error because they successfully disarmed the perp only to immediatly shoot him after. Disarming guy did not clearly communicate that the perp is disarmed. So most likely the green vest guy is going to serve time for this.

This and the Renee incident only showcase the importance of cordoning a large area around arrest procedure and not letting bystanders anywhere near them. Local police should assist ICE precisely to prevent chaos like this from happening. They don't have to partake in the actual arrest, the local police act like bouncers making sure everyone else uninvolved remains a safe distance from the scene. At the same time any protest which blocks roads or does anything remotely illegal should immediatly be called off by the police, this is to shift part of the responsibility for the protest organizers themselves for everyone's safety. Thats how its done in nordic countries where such incidents are minimal, norwegian or finnish cops won't shoot you but they will drag you to the back of the van on a first sign of aggression or uncompliance.

For those hoping this would mean less ICE involvement in Minnesota, don't get your hopes up. Local law enforcement refusing to cooperate with them while the whole Somali fraud thing is a hot button issue is only going to mean more feds in the State than ever. Billions of tax dollars have gone poof, federal government is not going to just go home because one dumbass ICE agent screwed up. Theres not a world where law enforcement just quits investigating a historical crime scandal because one officer broke the law and got someone killed.

I think its the green jacket guy who fires the first shot, you can see him better from the red jacket womans camera angle. He shoots immediatly after the grey vest dude disarms the arrested guy.

How is he wrong? Its common sense to not interfere with officers who have the right to detain you and cause tremendous amount of problems to you if you give them the excuse. You can't simultaneously go and say ICE is the new Gestapo and then walk right up to their face and expect nothing will happen to you.
