I don’t how the laws are in South America but here in the USA if a patient even has the slightest pulse by law you have to start life savings procedures. I’ve responded to calls where people were not gonna make due to the severity of their injuries but we still had to try. I remember when I fresh out of firefighting/paramedic school one first calls I went on was a suicide by shotgun the girl literally had no I head left, but because she still had a slight pulse, and they made me work her. That call is in my top ten of worst calls due to the girl age and the reasoning why she did it,also found some of her brain matter in treads of my boots when I got back to the station.
