A 53-year-old man in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore fell to death from a height of around 20 metres nearly a minute after he had taken to parasaling on Sunday.

A video recorded by onlookers shows the parasailer, Malaeswararao, rising in a slanted fashion on the Codissia grounds, precariously hanging with his belt unfastened to the gear.

After a shortwhile he falls on to the ground with a thud. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.

It looked like he wasn't strapped in at all, almost like he was just hanging there. I've been parasailing but there was like a side by side harness that my fiance and I were strapped into.
