A wild leopard enters an apartment lobby in Mulund, northeast of Mumbai, India and captures a sleeping dog and dragging it out of the building and killing it.

Surveillance video shows the sleek silhouette of the leopard as it strolls into the lobby of a Housing Society.

The lightly coloured dog can be seen curled up, asleep, in the bottom right of shot - oblivious to the approaching predator.

The leopard walks into the housing society without a challenge and picks up the dog before wandering out into the night where it kills it.

Within a few seconds the leopard has closed in on the unsuspecting pet.
By the time the canine realises it is in mortal danger, the leopard clamps its jaws around the dog's throat.

The dog ferociously struggles in vain to free itself from the cat's vice-like-grip, as it is dragged towards the exit.

The leopard pauses for a moment, standing its front legs on its stricken prey, then darts towards the open doors.

The entire attack lasts little more than 7 seconds before the dog is pulled out of camera shot and into the darkness of the Mumbai streets, where it is assumed it was eaten.

Surprisingly, the same dog named Smarty was attacked by a leopard last year also, but it escaped by the skin of its teeth at that time.

Leopards have mauled or killed more than 100 people over the past decade in and around Mumbai and official attempts to solve the problem were making it worse.

No way should they kill the kitty. Its just doing what comes naturally, and since we infringe on their territory, its just adapting to survive.
Now if only they could find a way to prevent it from entering the complex. Some sort of device that creates some sort of seal or barrier between the outside or inside. Perhaps something that has locks and a handle that has to be turned with hands in order to gain entry. But since I know of nothing like in existence, guess kitty will still be snacking on lassie.

Yeah should be moved or deterred properly...not killed...not technically doing anything wrong...people are just stupid.
