It's called doing prostrations. In some religious services there are a lot of them and the worshipers go up and down, up and down. Sometimes an elderly or infirm worshiper will stay down or just lift his head a bit instead of standing up again between prostrations - it is much easier that way since going up and down repeatedly can be tiring. At first it appeared that this guy was doing that trick, until he stayed down way too long.

crippling heart attack pain or something and his muscle memory took over and put him in praise Buddha position. Then the guy next to him grabs his head and pushes down / jiggles it. Kinda cool way to go for an old guy like this.
