Deadly train hit a man caught on video in Kyzylorda region

In the Kyzylorda region, a train hit a man on a video that was published on social networks on February 7, 2023. The correspondent of Zakon.kz was informed in the Department of Transport that the man had died.

The video appeared in one of the Telegram channels.

The transport department reported that the accident occurred on February 5 at the exit from the Zhanakorgan station.

“This fact is registered in the unified register of the pre-trial investigation of the Line Police Department at the Kyzylorda station under Part 2 of Article 344 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Violation of the rules of traffic safety or operation of railway transport, resulting in the death of a person through negligence”). An investigation is currently underway” – told the correspondent of Zakon.kz in the press service of the department.

Other information, as noted in the DP on transport, is not subject to disclosure in the interests of the investigation in accordance with the requirements of Art. 201 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

That does seem like a very jerky, rumbly, shaky train. Usually trains, especially electric ones, just glide along.
