This is really sad. I have this feeling that she was probably treated like shit by others in her life because of how beautiful she was. Or maybe she refused an arranged marriage. I would imagine she faced a lot of jealousy, harassment, and pressure from random men and she finally had enough of it all.

As sad as it all sounds. Generally, the stereotypical "beautiful woman", most of them, face a lot of harassment in their lives. I would also say that most of them develop mental illness, lifelong baggage, and all that other negative shit that comes along with being a "beautiful person" in this world. It's so ironic. Beauty in this context appears pleasant and orderly on the surface. But it is chaotic, unstable, fragmented, and fucked up on the inside.
