This is what helped me through my darkest days. If I didn't have family and friends who would have been devastated by my actions who knows, thankfully I just couldn't put them through that. My love and respect for them kept me here and got me through it.

There's no way someone with that many friends should have been in a position of feeling "hopeless and miserable" - he was likely chronically depressed, which is treatable. He is probably not better off dead.

People who kill themselves like this often sincerely believe their family and friends would be better off without them - it's often not hard to understand, just hard to relate to.

But I hear you - posting it on social media and doing it somewhere that loved ones have to clean up the mess is inconsiderate at best.
