A 21-year-old woman allegedly hacked a man, believed to be her lover, to death with a sword in Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district.

The brutal murder took place on a busy road between Kapavaram and Dharmavaram villages in Kovvur zone of the West Godavari district on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old T. N., a resident of Thadepalligudem.

P., a resident of Malakapalli village, allegedly attacked T. with a sword while he driving a bike in the West Godavari district.

She hacked him to death with the sword and remained at the spot. After this, she surrendered in front of the police.

According to police, P. was found holding a sword in public and talking on the phone. She allegedly killed him as she was fed up of "harassment" by the victim, police said.

"Both the accused and the victim were in a relationship since intermediate school days.

Recently, the man started to ignore the woman and was also not willing to marry her. He was also harassing the woman for money. Fed up with all this, the woman killed him.

A young woman stabbed her boyfriend to death after she suspected that he was cheating on her in West Godavari district. Identified as T., he was stabbed when he was riding his bike with girlfriend as pillion. Police have also arrested the woman. She has been identified as P.of Malakapalli village in Tallapudi Mandal.

T and P were in a relationship. However, the parents of P. were against the affair. They even stopped her from going to college in 2018.

However, they again came in contact when P. joined the college in Kovvur a year later. Police said after some months, T. started ignoring P. Police said he had even sent clips of his intimate moments with other women to P's mobile. Enraged, P. decided to eliminate T. She hatched a plan and asked her boyfriend to take her on a bike ride. When they reached the outskirts of Dharmavaram village, P. stabbed T. multiple times. She even stabbed him when he fell from the bike. T. died on the spot.
