Parades are always fun, for this to happen really kills the mood.

Re: Incoming Tanker Truck of Death

Even superman couldn't stop that...
I do no agree. I am Superman, and I know for a fact if I was there, that truck would have been stopped well before the civilians.

But on a more serious note, here's a bright concept for those that decided to "run away" from said tanker truck......

.....RUN TO THE SIDE. YOU CAN'T OUTRUN A FUCKING VEHICAL IF YOU'RE RUNNING IN THE SAME DIRECTION IT'S HEADED FOR YOU.

{{{{btw this got put into two diff comments cause I accidentally clicked tab instead of caps lock, and it clicked the 'post reply' button. Just saying, they need to fix the comments so you can edit them if you post it mistakenly.}}}}

Re: Incoming Tanker Truck of Death

I see the road is on a slight downward gradient. In cases of brake fade or brake failure in a heavy truck , the driver has to pull the truck into the side of the road or if it's up a hill, the rock face or a side street which is not slopeing. As a heavy truck driver myself I would of done the same thing.

Re: Incoming Tanker Truck of Death

I wonder what caused the loss of control ... failed brakes, sleeping at the wheel etc etc, it wasn't for being stopped.
It looks like a long down hill stretch of road. His brakes were probably beyond fried at that point.

It looks like the trucker did everything he could. He honked. He went off the road as far as possible, perhaps even dying in the process (did he go over the edge of a deep drop off?).

If he had tried to ditch the truck with some kind of harsh maneuver, maybe it could have ended up far worse, wiping out everyone in the road.
