Description says this happened in china during a lantern festival parade. Several people were hit but i'm sure that woman is dead. |

 I wonder what caused the loss of control ... failed brakes, sleeping at the wheel etc etc, it wasn't for being stopped.

I would guess faulty brakes. It looked like to me that the driver put the truck into the guardrail and trees trying to slow it down. What would you do as the driver when confronted with no brakes and a road full of unaware parade participants?
