Re: How to Clock Out Early with One Simple Trick.
I think also some people do not realize the implications of death, the finality of it, and many people imagine it as a state of dreamless sleep. I said to a mate of mine, who was suicidal that it might actually be really shit being dead. You might arrive in the afterlife and find out you'll be working 18 hour shifts shovelling shit for the rest of eternity. Like they say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Re: How to Clock Out Early with One Simple Trick.
Well, physicists are now saying that death is actually a quantum illusion, and that when we die, we only move to another plane of existence, so death is actually just fake. So that's how ghosts can be possible, when there is a void or a gap in our quantum universe that they can enter and present themselves. Plus I have heard too many stories of reincarnation mentioned by 3-5 year olds, so that I think the physicists could be correct So it appears we WON'T be shoveling shit in the quantum universe. We just live again to learn another lesson. Reincarnation could be truer than we think. I guess we better STOP making fun of the Pahjeets and the trains in India. |

Re: How to Clock Out Early with One Simple Trick.
Nice comment. The stuff I said to my mate about death possibly being shit was more intended to dissuade him from doing anything stupid rather than being a strong belief or mine. I also don't believe in death being anything we can experience (by definition that is in itself impossible). One of the core principles of science is repeatability. Anything that happens once in this universe can happen again. This is the foundation of the Experimental Method. I also believe that time is infinite because beginnings and ends only apply to things which are governed by time. In the same way you can not use a ruler to measure itself, you can also not use time to time itself. Therefore my assertion is that in a realm of infinite time every possibility must happen, and so it is inevitable we will live again after this life. Even with a gap of a trillion years between lives, we are unaware of that gap so to us, the only thing we can experience is a continuous journey of consciousness, albeit in several different bodies and forms. |

Re: How to Clock Out Early with One Simple Trick.
When I was working at a bakery, an older baker was taking the bread out of the oven and dropped dead from a heart attack. Some distressed employees notified the boss who told them to call the emergency services. Then he said “Move him to the side so you can finish taking the bread out of the oven before it burns!”
