Re: Hard Lesson in Electricity

Being an Electrical Engineer with many year experience in the field also seeing a few deaths and helping revive two people That this happens a lot and it's a very common thing the power line usually have no coating and if the person is grounded in any way then they are getting fried but the people around him could have moved him away with wooden 2x4’s or any thing wooden and that would help save his life this man could have very well have died depending on how long trained personnel got to the scene or if his heart stopped or not but the power lines are not to be FUCKED WITH it's a terrible feeling indescribable and horrible even minor shocks make you feel like your finger nails are popping off and muscles are locked up

What do you think is the voltage of those lines? It looks like he touched the front line and fell back on another line. Would 220V make a "Bzzzzzzzz" like that and set someones clothes on fire?

lol dude hell naw that power needs to supply hella houses, its more like 155000-765000 volts. 220v would shoot you back, its the amps that kill people. .1 of an amp is enough to kill a human. i think like.. .01-.05 is enough to make your muscles lock up. that power line takes up a SHIIII load of amps.. Amps is the flow, Voltage is just the Pressure to make the Amps flow.
