"A Brazilian tourist died in Ushuaia, a tourist city in Argentina, this Wednesday (2/11), after being hit by the fall of an ice sheet that came off the top of a cave. According to a local team of firefighters, the rescue work took more than 10 hours and involved more than 40 men. According to the Argentine newspaper Clarín, the victim was identified as D.C.M, 37 years old. The accident with the Brazilian occurred in a prohibited area known as "Cueva de Jimbo" or Ice Cave. The tragedy was recorded by one of the tourists in a video played by local media. In the images it is possible to see the group enter the cave and also the moment when the sign falls on the tourist. At one point, a man, also Brazilian, warns: "It's falling, be careful!" |
