Up until the moment the aggressor attempted and said "I'm going to take that gun from you, bitch" he had no reason to shoot. Those nine words made a difference. Justified, IMO

"Removed himself" until when? Till 3 AM when the attacker showed up again to burn his house down around him? He gave the attacker every opportunity to de-escalate.
