I agree! It is not the Pit Bull that is guilty...it is the owner! I have never met a pit bull that is mean. I would like to own one and I think they are adorable! Why people use pittys for scapegoats I dont know!

Because most folks are TV watching morons that believe every fucking thing they've been spoon fed for the last 20 or so years. People without the intellectual fortitude to open their eyes and use their brains themselves instead of relying on some imbecilic reporter that only cares about headlines. Those are the people that use pits as scapegoats.

YES! Someone who gets it. I own two pitbulls and you have never seen two sweeter, more gentle and loyal dogs. A kid starts petting them and they role on their side and wag their tail. The misconceptions need to stop. Dogs behave how they are raised. Are there bad apples? Sure. But this can be said about any breed of any animal. Pits have a bad rep because they are so efficient at taking down bigger animals that they are the breed of choice for dick head dog fighting owners. If I plan on making a fighting dog why the fuck would I choose a poodle or a Jack Russell? Go visit or (God forbid) buy a pitbull puppy and raise it well from day one: Good healthy food, rewards for being loyal, PROPER discipline, and a whole lot of playing and petting. Show me that and I'll show you a great dog. Otherwise, stop basing your opinions on what you read on the internet or in the paper.
