I agree he doesn't look conscious he just dropped like a sack of potatoes no effort at all to grab the ladder or attempt to break his fall with his hands/feet that is usually pretty much automatic instinctive reaction if someone is sober and conscious.

Probably a survivable fall if you made a good effort to land on your feet/hands.
