Shit! That lucky bastard gets to go out saying such an awesome thing. Different styles though, and funny for different reasons. Like that Wild Bunch line is actually funny, whereas the line in the Italian movie had to be translated and dubbed--retardation twice removed, and thrice if its Spanish film location is observed. I'm just watching one called El Chucho Quién Sabe? (A Bullet For The General) right now. And not 5 minutes in there's this gem here. But once again, funny in another way--certainly not meant to be funny, weird and/or unsuited words chosen and pronounced in accordance with the film's original language--its timing, often leaving coherence up to the broader scope. I love all thing humorous though, even things I don't get, if they're making other people laugh. |
