Two men and two women died after being left hugging each other behind a counter.

A shooting took place this Friday at a gas station restaurant located at kilometer 49.5 of the highway to El Salvador, in El Cerinal, Barberena, Santa Rosa.

According to firefighters, when they arrived at the scene, the victims were no longer showing vital signs due to the multiple wounds caused by gunshot wounds.

Gunmen entered and fired at diners. A black vehicle and a motorcycle were parked outside the gas station. A large number of shell casings were left at the scene.

When he heard the gunshots, a gas station worker ran away, while the family members suffered a nervous breakdown. But he said that the victims were drinking alcoholic beverages. Some say that the massacre could have been caused by an argument, others believe that it was a settling of scores.

The victims, who had gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, were identified as:

1. Wendy Nayeli Peñas Godínez, 23 years old

2. Sabdi Antonia Mendez Parada, 22 years old

3. Diego Alejandro Chajon Perez, 23 years old

4. Lester Humberto Ortega Orozco, 21 years old.

The one guy ducked out to his right and looks like was able to avoid the gunfire. He’s there and then he isn’t while the other two sitting at the bar head around the corner to their final destination.

I'm wondering if this wasn't part of a gang initiation and the victims were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The shooters did not seem to have a specific target they wanted to eliminate. It is also obvious that they didn't count the number of people who were sitting at the bar.

The half-assed attempt at a coup de grâce not only provided no guarantee his victims were dead, it also created a witness (albeit one who may face a lifetime of survor's guilt).
