Re: Gordon Smiley: Original ABC Broadcast 5/15/82 (HQ Video and Pictures)
Here is the picture of Dr Olvey checking for a pulse, the one I posted earlier was a thumbnail, but I found the real one. I was told from a person there that he checked his pulse for about 5 seconds and then put a white sheet over him because the mothers in the stands were screaming and holding their hands over their kids eyes. So it looked like the Dr Olvey knew he was dead before he reached him but checked his pulse first more as a show to protect his own ass if by some miracle Smiley could have survived

In this picture you see the back of Smiley with the straps going through his seat. His seat is hard to see because his gas tank just landed right in front of him. You can see the back of his head and if you look on the righthand side you can see some of the trauma even though its black and white

Yes, I appreciate your wordy posts as well. Facts and back stories are a good thing, keep doing what you're doing AK.

Re: Gordon Smiley: Original ABC Broadcast 5/15/82 (HQ Video and Pictures)
Thanks for the pics/vid and the background info. I'm too damn old to remember all this stuff from back in the day, so it's cool to have the extra info as well. I use it to go back and read up on some of these things after the fact, so the "reading" bit is much appreciated. :)
