All totally irrelevant. Nobody ever drowns in ice, and "freezing water" is, by definition ice (or in the process of turning into ice). BTW nothing ever happens "in spite of the Second Law of Thermodynamics", rather everything happens in accordance with the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This is why it is called a "law".

Was there a particular reason they mentioned the short skirt? Did it somehow have something to do with why she got killed? Would she have survived if she was wearing pants?
