I understand what you're getting at. At least one of those alarms is the fire alarm, you can tell by the strobe light. In schools, only the fire department has keys to the fire panel to shut off since they send a direct line out to the fire department... while these keys are "generic" you can get one from amazon, I believe there may be laws in place that make it illegal to shut one off if you're not with the fire department or doing maintenance. And I will note, firing a rifle indoors likely blew out any hearing they had to begin with. Not sure if she was wearing earplugs |

I can't imagine the anxiety that the poor kids whom may or may not have known the victims feel when they go back to school in the aftermath of such attacks. Plus there's the parents who'll be sending their kids back to school, any school in the US is now sadly permanently open season. If those weazly faced little knobheads wouldn't have shot up Columbine, do you think that school shootings would have become the disease that they are today? |
