ive been looking at these videos,and as best i can figure the fuel finally made it to the hot exhaust pipe on the truck? i cant see anyone near the cab and it appears to have come from around the cab,maybe some idiot on the other side was smoking?

I was wondering the same thing. It would take at least 10 minutes to attract a herd of of Latinos with containers and siphon hoses, maybe 30 minutes, so the exhaust cooled down some. Maybe someone left their cigarette at what they thought was a safe distance, or static electricity or a smartphone ignited the vapor. Or they might have just been stupid and approached with a lit cigarette. I wonder if they will bother to investigate the source of ignition. I also wonder what percentage of tankers leaking fuel explode...

If it was unleaded gasoline, a lit cigarette will not ignite it. Lighting a cigarette with a match or other open flame would be sufficient. The trucks batteries should be under the side saddle steps to enter the cab. I'm wondering if a battery arced due to movement. This same thing happened in Mexico last year. Almost identical situation. People filling damn homer and pickle buckets with gasoline. Neither of these fuel trucks exploded, just caught fire. You can see the fire sweep in over several frames from the cab to the bad. Fucking horrible way to die. The charred corpses probably went quicker than the rest. It is the others, the walking wounded, that suffered. |

It's not stealing. If you spilt your soda on the sidewalk and a dog or a very thirst person licked it up, would that be stealing? If it was the days of steam and a lump of coal fell off a car and you used it in your stove, would that be stealing? Still god was mad enough to punish them.
