If the FSA rebels saw a tank sitting there, all they have to do is see the turret move or something and they know it's occupied. Never mind whether the gun fired or not. I think they'd try to open the top door and get the ammo out if they thought it wasn't occupied. FWIW

It's just another one of the hundreds of propaganda video's they make. If he thought there was someone in it he wouldn't walk up to the front like, there is a machine gun in the turret pointed right at him.

A tank may be the ultimate weapon but it has some serious weak spots and drawbacks. Huge blind spots and vulnerabilities. Alot of people are claiming this was fake because there is no obvious reaction from the tank crew. How the guy got close enough to score the first time is puzzling but when you look at the full clip it may have been that the tank was partially disabled from taking other weapon attacks. Not being in the military I am not sure of the shoulder mounted rockets being fired at the tank. But then after the first grenade insertion the tank is rocked to the side as if it had fired a round. Perhaps the grenade set off whatever was in the barrel and ready to go and broke the breech open. Or the tank had nothing in the barrel and the breech was forced open by the grenade. Plausible I think. Then the second grenade insertion finishes the job for sure. Notice the clothes being blasted up out of the turret by the ammo cooking off? That guy has alot to celebrate, he not only successfully pulled off a classic antitank manuever but he did it twice with spectacular results and it's all caught on tape forever and then loaded up to youtube so the whole world can see exploit. Not saying I agree with the whole civil war thing they got going on and not taking sides. I say the weapon being used to disable the tank is a Russian made RPG-7 grenade launcher with antitank grenades. It fits the image perfectly. I tried to match it with the new USA version and it doesn't match up well at all. Also the ones I see are newer and sport camo which the USA version doesn't so far. The rocket launcher I have not identified yet.
