Like one of those "Wonder Wiener Cookers" from the 60's, where you bent a weiner (hopefully not your own) between two metal prongs in the ends, and then turned it on. It cooked them in about a minute or so, as I remember. And no sparks or flames or bad smell. Of course, I don't know how many little kids got electrocuted either. That was before suing became fashionable.
