Re: Fleet of Bikers Swept by Semi in Purpose.Ru Do Not Stop at Red Light in VietNam
You’d think one would know if there vehicle had issues with the brakes before heading into an area where so many people are around. Especially a freaking truck. No one can just drive a truck as theirjob and pretend to not have known the brakes were wonky or non existent. Or maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know if a loss of brakes is identifiable as someone drives it. I remember that crash in SA, killed 20+ people, driver of truck lost the brakes and couldn’t control it and it went zooming right through an intersection, vehicles and people just obliterated. And I was amazed that he got less than 10 years in prison. Same with one where a school bus crashed (here in the states), driver lost the ability to control it and the accident resulted in death of some people including children (I think)...he as well got less then 10 years. But...these kinds of accidents are avoidable. But it always comes down to greed. Companies love deregulations, or hardly any regulations to begin with...they don’t want to spend the extra money to make sure their vehicles and their drivers are safe. The public are safe. Property is safe. The load of whatever being transported is safe. So disturbing. |
