Fleeing Pick-up Trucker Hit a Bus Stop Killing a Woman & Himself
Brazil, An accident involving a VW Amarok pick-up truck, on Saturday morning (03), killed 2 people and wounded another. The speedometer of the Amarok stood at 100 km per hour, which indicates that the speed was even higher, according to traffic police. One of the wheels came off. The truck came to a halt about 100 meters from where the victims were run over. A woman, (50), who was waiting at the bus stop ready to go to work had her arm torn off. The victim was thrown about 50 meters away and died on the spot. The driver (23) of the VW pick-truck died en route to the hospital.  The other victim, a female, who was also at the bus stop, had two broken legs and had to be rushed to the Emergency Room. It is unclear what the current state of her health is. The daughter of the woman who died at the bus stop was at the scene and recognized the body of her mother. In tears, she fell to the ground when she saw the mother's body. A neighbor at the scene reported that she took care of the elderly woman and was also going to work this morning. Police told that night they had a number of accidents involving intoxicated drivers. One piece of information that is being investigated by police is that the driver of the Amarok collided with a taxi and then the VW fled the scene at high speed. In the end, he lost control in a bend, hit two concrete posts before ramming the bus stop and was ejected from the vehicle. |

They can blame it on the Emission Control Software. It failed, causing the truck to speed out of control.  |
