I like that part a lot. That's the idea too, you hide the blind item until the end. You could even bring a few different selections out, so he has the choice of which to fear most.

Really though, blindfold executions are nearly limitless.

Think of it, you don't even have to tell him it's an execution.
You could wait until his birthday even, and pay his friends to blindfold him for some kind of surprise party, or hand him a piñata stick, and then just open the front door for the dudes with the barrel to come in.
