61-year-old Martín A.A.D., a beer entrepreneur and one of the owners of the Fogata nightclub, was shot to death whilst closing his liquor store. He still presented vital signs when he arrived at hospital, but he ultimately bled out.

Martín was reportedly the victim of extortion, having been asked to pay 60,000 Peruvian sols - around USD$16,500. Due to the extortion threats, he had shut his liquor store for several months in late 2024.
