Re: Dutch Tourist Dies After Jumping Off From Mallorca Cliff
The drop I'm talking about is a straight pillar of...rock but the landing is at about a 45° angle yes It's scary as fuck because sometimes you don't have a lot of forward momentum and it takes everything within you not to start flailing and having a yardsale when you hit if not worse. And we used to only attempt that when there was at least 5 - 6' or more of freshies plus a decent packed, hopefully not ice base under that. You have to hike into it and most times it's roped off esp if it just dumped feet of powder. Slight avalanche risk in that area when the snows deep lol. Shorties in the half pipe huh? Fuck I guess they'll just let anybody in the park now. |

Re: Dutch Tourist Dies After Jumping Off From Mallorca Cliff
Yeah, this is exactly what I suspected happened. Splashing people with water to wake them up after being knocked out cold is a Hollywood thing. In real life, people drown all the time after a simple, survivable, head injury, knocks them out. This is why there are life jacket laws for most watercraft...
