Re: Dutch Tourist Dies After Jumping Off From Mallorca Cliff
Please review your grade school exponential math class. Gravity pulls you down at 9.8 meters/32 feet per second squared. Thus a fall of 100 feet has you hitting the water at nearly 4 times the velocity of hitting it at 60 feet. Also, note I said "A fall from 100 feet is equivalent to hitting concrete." Not, "This guy jumped from 100 feet." The cliff looks to be between 80 to 90 feet high. The reference to concrete is to say that he was going to hit the water pretty damn hard, and it was not going to feel like a feather bed. I really hate it when people make false inferences and then attack those false inferences. It's a basic logical fallacy. |

Re: Dutch Tourist Dies After Jumping Off From Mallorca Cliff
Just the other day I was thinking about how "unrealistic" it is that in videos showing people jumping to their deaths they don't scream, and now I see this |

Re: Dutch Tourist Dies After Jumping Off From Mallorca Cliff
I would like to see a side shot of this cliff to see if it’s as sloped as it looks, as I can’t think of a reason why he thought that would be possible. I also can’t think why a woman would upload her husband’s self inflicted death in front of their son to the internet. |
