Drunk SUV Driver Crashes into Hotel Resort Foyer Killing Female Owner
India, In a tragic incident, a fatal drunken driving case has led to the arrest of 42-year-old S. V. G. K. Police took him into custody after he allegedly engaged in a reckless and negligent act, resulting in the death of 57-year-old R. M. A, the owner of the resort, and causing injuries to 2 other staff members. The SUV driver has been remanded to four days in police custody, facing charges of committing culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The incident occurred when he purportedly drove a Haryana-registered SUV, into the resort premises at an alarming speed, fatally hitting the woman, who was conversing on her phone with a client outside the reception area. The impact proved fatal, claiming R's life and leaving the two injured staff members, S. M. D. (22) and R. P. (31), in its wake. Having reportedly visited a friend at the resort, K's actions led to his immediate arrest by Anjuna Police. He now faces charges under section 304 of the IPC, as investigations into the incident continue. |
