The difference is I use backroads that run parallel to farmland. It’s kilometres of nothing, and whether it’s day or night, it’s flat land with no cops around. Farms have cleared forests, and it’s a 3 minute drive from the suburbs so there isn’t any deer x-ing.

I also don’t maintain that dumb speed, and make sure nothing is wrong with the tires, car, or road, and treat it like a section of the autobahn.

Doing it on highways is retarded. Well, those speeds, anyway. It’s totally fun to see other motorcycles and car guys on the road, and both of us having an excuse to gun it with a mutual understanding of what constitutes fun: flooring it for a short bit, then easing off.

The smiles you get when racing is unbeatable, and motorcycles usually gap me.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s responsible irresponsibility, and irresponsible irresponsibility.

Yeah I used to do stupid shit, like when an elcamino pulled up on my camaro in the town i grew up in, light turned green we both put the pedal to the metal, next light was red, he let off of his accelerator, i did for a split second as well then put it back on the floor. When he realized i was down till the end he did the same. There we went neck and neck, the curves of the roadway in front of us dictating who was a nose in front of the other. About 4 stop lights and 2 stop signs later we finally called it. As he and i came to a complete stop at the stopsign we looked over at each other nothing but shit eating grins, he said damn homeboy you down as fuck. Thats what im talking about. Then he drove off. Never ran into him again.

Its a thrill throwing safety to the wind, its an adrenaline rush like nothing else. But also extremely stupid with potential consequences that young boy/teenager i had been at that time never contemplated
